The Doulas of Lane County make it easy to choose a doula who is right for you and your family. Please read our member bios and contact them for a free phone consultation or a personal interview.
All Doulas of Lane County doulas offer a free initial interview to get acquainted and discuss your needs for birth and postpartum support. We encourage you to interview several doulas so that you may choose the one you feel will be the best fit.
Some sample questions to ask when you are interviewing a doula:
~ What is your training and experience?
~ What does your fee include?
~ Can you provide references?
~ Do you work with a back-up doula for times when you are unavailable?
~ May we call you with questions or concerns before and after the birth?
~ What is your philosophy about childbirth and supporting women and their partners?
~ When do you join the mother during labor?

All birth and postpartum doulas associated with the Doulas of Lane County are individual practitioners and fees vary. Please contact doulas directly about fees. Birth doulas have a package fee, and postpartum doulas charge an hourly fee.
